On November 16, 2024, Kunay Film hosted a unique masterclass with renowned Russian directors Nikolay Lebedev and Zhanna Polyakova, creators of such successful films as “Flight Crew”, “Legend No. 17”, and others. This event became an important milestone for the entire Kunay Film and Kunay House team, as participants gained a rare opportunity to learn firsthand from the experience and working methods of these masters on set.
The directors shared their approaches to pre-production, casting, and the organization of filming processes. They spoke about the specifics of working on set and told fascinating stories from behind the scenes of their films. In particular, Nikolay Lebedev explained how he manages situations during filming, collaborates with actors, and organizes large-scale projects such as “Flight Crew”, “Legend No. 17”, and “The Star”.
A highlight of the session was Lebedev’s story about his work in Hollywood and his experience filming with international actors, which sparked great interest among the participants.
